Tutor on Grammar

Words that sound alike can be really tough to spell out – especially if you mis-heard the word in the first place.

Between my five students today, I had very few spelling errors, so yay!

All of them were mis-hearings:

Resave instead of receive

Mrs. Miller instead of Mrs. Mallard

Simple instead of Symbol

and the pesky pluralized possessive:  Their husband‘s feelings instead of Their husbands’ feelings
